A series of drawings and photographs retracing the marks of the artist's mother's hand as figures of movement drawn in the empty space between the fingers. In the drawings, the result is a series of flamboyant little islands on a white sea— motherland, native land, lost land, promised land, mythical land that orients the ways of a lifetime.
