Feu les arbres is an ode to trees and a reminder of the terrible damage the Planet suffered after the apocalyptic fires in Amazonia and Australia and, more recently, Canada and Greece. Marta realised these pieces by patiently burning thousands of minuscule holes in sheets of Japanese paper, using broken incense sticks from a Buddhist temple in Nepal. A work of slowness, a prayer, a challenge to regain a human pace in a world humans have made inhuman.
